MAGNETIC PARTICLE INSPECTION
Another nondestructive test, magnetic particle inspection takes advantage of magnetic particles to detect errors in parts containing iron. When a magnetic field is introduced, any defects in the material will cause interruptions in the field, and magnetic particles highlight the interruptions. This is a highly accurate test, but it does require a skilled hand and eye to identify problem areas.
TS GRIND
Our TS Grind Process was created by IPG president Dave Cox. The process consists for 4 MAJOR STEPS to ensure the precision grinding process of thermally applied coatings will result in the highest quality standard possible.
STEP 1:
PROCESS ENGINEERING
Our team will work with our customers and OEM if necessary to address any foreseeable risks and concerns when grinding the coated dimensions. Our team will develop a solid process that includes risk assessment, work-tool holding requirements, all necessary inspection methods needed, and evaluation of how the substrate material (prior to coating) should be prepared prior to coating.
STEP 2:
PROCESS EXECUTION
We will utilize the necessary grinding abrasives in one of our CNC grinding machines with our experienced staff.
STEP 3:
FINAL VERIFICATION
We will thoroughly inspect all documentation of your order to insure that all the necessary certifications and inspection requests have been obtained.
STEP 4:
PROCESS EVALUATION
Our Engineering and Production staff will review your project in entirety after the order is completed to insure we have captured all necessary details, concerns, and information to form a solid process specifically designed for your future orders. We will always strive to continually improve our process to leverage our customers for success.
